ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN 1
Assignment 2 : STRUCTURE AND BODY: MATERIALS, ANTHROPOMETRIC AND ERGONOMICS EXPLORATION-1:1 BAMBOO ACTIVITY STRUCTURE
For Project 2, it is a group assignment, and we are given a client and a specific action. Then, we have to construct a 1:1 bamboo structure using some supporting materials. Hence, in this assignment, we will be working on exploring the architectural elements and design principles in addition to anthropometry and ergonomics studies.
BAMBOOSCAPE
BAMBOOSCAPE
A safekeeping space.
The first part of our mission was that we had to make it functional. As usable and practical as possible, while still adhering to the inner creative in all of us. This meant compromises had to be made. We could have walls, but no sharp 90 degree angles. We could make a roof, but it had to be amazing to stand under and look up at.

The second part was making sure that the structure met its purpose. It had to allow the locals who used it to store their tools and supplies and keep it away from the harsh conditions. To meet this condition we decided to interview with a few local people to get a better idea of what THEY wanted to have in their space, something not just for us, but for the community.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION STAGE
Drafts we made during the design phase. We have tried a variety of designs for the roof and sketched different designs of mock-up models to choose which to be our final one.
